Performances

Wild Heart Performing Arts Studio regularly produces live performances in dance, theatre, music and performance art, bringing artists and audiences up close. Our studio is home to intimate showings of daring, live art and, you’re invited.

OUR PERFORMANCE SERIES:

BODY as VOICE
A curated program of new works in dance.

In My BONES
A curated program of new works in theatre.

SOUND Asylum
A curated  program of new works in music.

Girl on a Wire

A curated program of daring solo works by female dance/theatre artists telling deeply personal stories.

PASSION Asylum
A performance series featuring interdisciplinary work in which the lines between dance and theatre are blurred. The work in this series eludes label or genre.

Wild Heart Salon
A performance series open to all performing artists who want to share new work and take artistic risks before an audience.

Family & Friends
All of our students have year-round opportunities to perform and share their achievements with family and friends.

Performances are low-tech, fully immersing performers and audience in the raw energy of live performance.
Some performances are free. Most are followed by an artist-audience Q&A.

Check the News & Events page for upcoming dates.

Our studio is a peaceful and sun-lit space on  Steinway St. between Broadway and 34th Ave. (closer to Broadway) in the heart of Astoria, Queens.

We're just 3 stops from Manhattan right by the Steinway St. station on the R/M subway line.

Our neighbors include The Frank Sinatra High School of the Performing Arts, Queens Council on the Arts, Kaufman Astoria Studios and the Museum of the Moving Image as well as MOMA PS 1, one of the oldest and largest contemporary art institutions in the United States.

It is our joy to contribute to the lively Astoria-L.I.C. arts scene!

Look for the big, blue 'Ferrari Driving School'- we're in that building on the third floor. Note, there is no elevator. Your workout starts at the bottom of the stairs ;-)
